Queen Elizabeth Alexander Mary II (April 21, 1926) was born in London. She was crowned Queen on June 2nd, 1953 when her father, the king, passed away. She married Prince Philip in 1947, and together had four children. (Princess Diana is her former daughter-in-law.) Queen Elizabeth is politically neutral.

She is, what is otherwise called colloquially, a figurehead. As head of state, Queen Elizabeth receives daily reports o Parliament from the prime minister. Her duties include leading all branches of Great Britain's military, and she is the president or financial supporter of more than 700 organizations. Queen Elizabeth II has visited India several times: once in 1983, and three separate times in 1961.
