Dadra and Nagar Haveli border the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat, and the territory Daman and Diu. The capital of this territory is Silvassa. The territory has a population of 220,490 people on an area of 190 square miles.

Economy

There is no major industry in Dadra and Nagar Haveli except for a few craftsmen who make pots, leather items, and bamboo items. Major crops that are grown are Paddy, Nagli, Mango, Chiku, Banana, jowar, tuvr,and sugarcane.

Tourism

Some major tourist attractions are Khanvel, the Tribal Cultural Museum, and the Vanganga Lake. Tourism is popular because of the nice climate and the dense forestry. Festivals of interest are Kite festival, Tarpa Festival, world Tourism Day, and various festivals from different religions and tribes.
